Ewa Protasiuk

Hello! I am a PhD candidate in Sociology at Temple University. I am on the academic job market.
I am a scholar of low-wage and precarious work, immigration, and large-scale social disruption. My dissertation research is grounded in the empirical context of restaurant work and the COVID-19 pandemic. I am primarily a qualitative scholar whose expertise lies in ethnography and interviewing, but I also have experience in survey and statistical methods.
My research has been published in journals such as Work and Occupations, and I have a forthcoming publication in Social Problems.
My work has been funded by sources including the Russell Sage Foundation, the National Science Foundation (via the American Sociological Association), and the Temple University Public Policy Lab.
